chin, at the waist, on the outer sides of the hips and thighs, on the
abdomen, knees or ankles. *Enlarged breasts for males.

and Healing: *The patient is sent home with a
compression garment which must be worn for one to three weeks to assist
the natural shrinking and tightening of the skin. *Initial discomfort is easily
controlled with mild medication. *Bruising and
swelling usually subside within two to four weeks and the final result
takes shape over two to three months. Intended
Result: *Reduction of the area of
fatty protrusion and improvement of the area contour and proportions. *A more flattening figure or
physique in clothing. *Surface irregularities
commonly known as cellulite are not eliminated by the procedure. Insurance
Guidelines: *The procedure is considered
cosmetic and therefore is not covered by insurance. The patient is
responsible for payment.
*Note: The specifics, risks,
and the suitability of this procedure for a given individual can only be
determined through a consultation with the plastic surgeon. |
