 Forehead Lift / Brow Lift

 

Indications: 

* Sagging forehead; brows which hang low and close the eyes.

*Deep vertical furrows between the brows.

 


Procedure Description:

* The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia.

*An incision is usually made behind the hairline. For patients who have high foreheads, the incision is made in the front of the hairline.

*Muscles are tightened. The forehead skin is lifted and repositioned. Excess skin is removed.

 


Additional Procedures Which Enhances the Result:

* Lower and/or upper eyelid lift 

*Facelift

 


Recuperative and Healing:

* The patient goes home with the head wrapped in dressings which are usually removed within the first forty-eight hours.

*Initial discomfort is easily controlled by mild medication.

*Sutures are removed within one week.

*Most swelling and bruising is gone in one to two weeks.

 


Intended Result:


*A more youthful, rested appearance to the forehead and upper eyelid area.

 


Insurance Guidelines:

*The procedure is considered cosmetic and therefore is not covered by insurance. The patient is responsible for payment.
