Indications:
*Sagging
breasts due to past pregnancies or the aging process
*Enlarged pigmented area (the nipple/areola) of the breast. Procedure description:
*The
procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under general
anesthesia.
*Incisions are made around the pigmented area, sometimes extending vertically down toward the fold under each breast. *The nipple/areola complex is repositioned higher, if necessary, and the skin is recontoured to form a new breast contour. Excess skin is removed.

Recuperation and Healing:
*The
patient goes home with dressing on chest. Patient can shower the next
day. No external sutures.
*Initial
discomfort is easily controlled with mild medication.
*Light activities can be resumed in seven to ten days; more vigorous activities may resume by one month.
Intended
Result:
*An
elevated, more youthful breast contour with a nicely proportioned
nipple/areola complex.
Insurance Guidelines:
*The
procedure is considered cosmetic and therefore is not covered by
insurance. The patient is responsible for payment.
