Dr. James E. Magnusson is a native Oklahoman and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1983. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology  and Nuclear Medicine. He attended medical school at the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Tulsa, graduating in 1987.

Dr. Magnusson performed a rotating internship followed by a four year general surgery residency at Tulsa Regional Medical Center. A two year residency program in plastic surgery at the Philadelphia Osteopathic Medical Center. Board certification in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery was granted to Dr. Magnusson in 1996.

*Jefferson University Hospital - Philadelphia, Pa. : Hand surgery

*Cooper Trauma Center - Camden, N.J.  Maxillofacial trauma

*Westchester County Medical Center - Valhalla, NY. : Burn management and reconstructive surgery

*Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center - New York City, NY. : Breast reconstructive surgery

*Mount Sinai Medical Center - New York City, NY. : Plastic surgery and microsurgery
